Keith is living his best life, making videos about things he's passionate about; love it.
Keith, please make this a series! I would enjoy it. Also, makes me wanna try out different instruments too! (I am a former piano player.)
Btw, I had no idea the Serenade was called "Serenade through the leaves", I thought it was only called "Serenade". I played this at my recital as well, which was my last performance. I LOVED the Serenade, it is one of my absolute favourite pieces I've ever played (given most of the time, my teacher pushed me with difficult technique pieces which I didn't enjoy and just wanted to play the Turkish March lel).

Edit: Also Keith, my teacher always told me "Never practice immediately before performing"! I think she was right because it can just make you unsure and mess with your brain, it did to me

awww i feel like a proud parent and this is actually way more indspiring than a lot of attempted inspiring posts. because it's someone outside of their comfort zone genuinely trying at something and working towards it

This was so beautiful and sweet to watch. A lot of try guys videos are mostly just goofy, but you can really see how hard Keith tried and how important this was to him (not that I'm saying all try guys videos should be like that, I just think it was a nice change of pace!) I want to keep watching Keith's journey with band instruments!!!!

  4. Harsimrat Dhaliwal

I love this Keith! You're so amazing! Thank you for trying this and proving that even as an adult we can try to learn new instruments and succeed

  5. Mel

I immensely enjoyed this video and your recital Keith! Very smooth and well done, especially the changes in piano and forte. I loved playing my trumpet and miss performing with my friends.

Can I just say how proud I am of Keith. He put so much into learning trombone, he sought out help, bought things he would need and put in the practice. He genuinely put in his best to give a performance he could be proud of. However, what inspired me the most was him prioritizing his well-being and choosing to rest and then do a piece that would be better for him. Its truly inspiring how he acknowledged it’s better to do something simpler better and that adjusting your goals is okay. As a former French horn player I know that it is tough to play brass and I’m proud of him for accomplishing what he did.

I haven’t played clarinet since middle school and I always reach a point in guitar where I can’t progress bc of my small fingers…but this made me want to try again. It’s seriously hard to learn an instrument so I really applaud Keith for this!

Also omg the essential elements book 😭😭😭

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU KEITH SO PROUD WOWWWWWW AWESOME THATS AMAZING AND YES AS A RECENT HIGHSCHOOL GRADUATE IM GONNA TAKE UP AN INSTRUMENT AND LEARN IT THANK U SO MUCH

  9. Isabella ` Bostwick

I play the alto saxophone for my school. I tried to teach my sister who plays the trumpet the alto saxophone and she said it was super hard because all she knows is buzzing.

  10. Amelie Hodge

Wow, this was impressive, and I'm in awe of the skill Keith has after only a month!! I would LOVE to see more of these videos, it would be really fun! I think I'm going to go practice now myself, since er I sort of haven't in a while 😅

    Keith: Essential Elements for Band

What was given to me: Rubank, Gariboldi Flute Etudes, Köhler 🤣😭
(I play the flute btw, stopped for a moment, never finished Köhler because I find it too difficult)
